We are a team of researchers in the Institute of Ecology at Peking University, led by Zhijie Zhang. We work at the intersection of ecology and evolution. By integrating theoretical models with experimental approaches, we explore the dynamic feedback between ecological context and evolutionary change, aiming to predict biodiversity patterns. Ultimately, our goal is to build a framework that guides strategies for biodiversity restoration in a changing world.
While we have used different systems (e.g., plants and bacteria) in the past, we now are building an automatic platform that integrates liquid-handling robots and high-content imaging systems to study phytoplankton.
